I've been doing this for seventeen years. I've photographed hundreds of weddings, driven across the Cascades before sunrise, stood in November rain with a smile on my face, and stayed until the very last slow dance. And I am still genuinely, completely, with my whole chest, in love with this work. Because of people like you.
People who take their time. People who read the whole website. People who want more than a vendor with a camera, they want someone who will know their timeline by heart before the day ever arrives, who will handle the things that need handling without being asked, who will make them feel like themselves in every single photo.
That's what I'm here for. All of it. The whole day. Every last chapter of it.
So send me a message, tell me about your love story (every last bit of it), and let’s document something that actually, truly matters.
xoxo, Alex

I always say my photography style is vibrant and timeless, featuring a mixture of documentary photography and editorial-inspired portraits. I want to tell the full story of your wedding day, and this mixture of photography styles combined with my editing style ensures we capture all the moments, details, candids, and joy in their true-to-life color.
Nearly every couple I chat with shares this concern with me. And you’re in good company - because I identify as an introvert and feel awkward in front of a camera myself! I have tricks for breaking the ice and will make sure our time together accomplishes your photo shot list while laughing lots and taking plenty of deep, peaceful breaths. I promise to make you comfortable so that you look like the rockstars you are in front of a camera and I will continue to guide and help throughout your entire wedding day, as well as leading up to it, to ensure that I capture the most beautiful images from your wedding day. We’re in this together!
I LOVE hearing this question! Step one is we hop on a video chat or phone call to discuss your vision and priorities, ensuring that I’m a good fit for your photography goals. Once you’ve made your decision to get things on the books I will prepare a contract for you to review and collect a $1000 retainer. The remainder of your balance is due two weeks ahead of the wedding.
Always! Every couple is different in regards to comfort level in front of the camera, but being nervous is the norm. I love to incorporate an editorial flair into portrait photography (think a little bit traditional and a little bit classic) without forgetting about a healthy mix of candids as well. I have a couple tried-and-true simple poses I like to start with and then we run with it from there. If I see you do something that’s ultra cute, I’ll encourage you to stay just like that. I’ll keep an eye out for anything that needs little tweaks to photograph in the best way possible (think arm position, slightly bent knees instead of locked tight) and I’ll focus on making sure that you feel like yourself in your portraits.
I live just north of Seattle in Edmonds, Washington and serve the entire Pacific Northwest. I accept a very limited number of travel or destination weddings but would love to hear from you even if your wedding is taking place elsewhere.
