Missy & Chris’ colorful spring engagement session at the tulip fields in Washington’s Skagit Valley was perfect! I drove through thunderstorms and torrential rain to get to this spot worried crazy we’d get rained out, but when it came time to shoot, the sun popped out and was a gorgeous contrast against the rain clouds that pushed off into the distance. What an awesome backdrop!
Missy and Chris are such a sweet pair and this session was a great chance for their quiet, but loving personalities to come out. Missy wore an adorable dress from Nordstrom and switched out her planned shoes for rain boots since we’d be traipsing around in the mud. We shot at the Roozengaarde Tulip Fields in Mount Vernon, WA on the last weekend of the annual Tulip Festival and were the last group to leave the venue that evening! We were treated to a beautiful, warm sunset and fields still in beautiful bloom.
