Romantic Black & Gold Wedding at The Bellevue Club

Drag me!

There are elegant weddings and then there are masterfully planned and completely stunning black tie affairs that are memorable beyond all belief.  I am so happy to have been Taylor & Ja’Juan’s wedding photographer!  When I first met with Taylor she told me of her vision to have a black and gold wedding, very refined, simple but very classic.  Her vision came to life in stunning fashion at their wedding held at The Bellevue Club in Bellevue, WA.  Taylor’s beautiful lace dress was a perfect compliment to her groom’s creme jacket, along with gold bow ties on all the groomsmen to match the bridesmaids’ dresses.  Everything throughout the entire wedding day was so beautiful.

Taylor’s stunning wedding look was pulled off thanks to a knock out dress accented by some beautiful accessories for her hair and glittery Jimmy Choo shoes.  These shoes are incredible!

My favorite part of the wedding day was watching Taylor & Ja’Juan with their two kids, who were of course an integral part of their celebration and wedding ceremony.  The kids hung out in the bride’s suite while everyone was getting ready and were clearly so invested in understanding what their mom was doing.  They were part of the ceremony and they are the stars of the family portraits from the wedding day.  I loved every moment of working with Taylor & Ja’Juan and hope that we get many more chances to work together in the future.

ready to tell your story?

Hi, I’m alex! A seattle wedding photographer who’s been documenting your stories since 2009.

I fell in love with photography almost 20 years ago in a darkroom class, and that love has never faded. What started as a darkroom class in college turned into photographing my first wedding solo in 2010,and I was hooked. The joy. The emotion. The vows. The details. The people.

I realized quickly that my fulfillment came from helping people see themselves in a beautiful, honest way. I move calmly. I guide confidently. I know how to capture all the angles and candid moments without you even noticing. My couples often say I have “photo superpowers” because of how much I capture while still keeping everything feeling easy and low-pressure.

Some photographers find wedding days chaotic.

I find them electric.
