Colorful Cultural Fusion Nuptials at Melrose Market Studios

Check out ALLLLLL the color jam packed into Dominique & Victor’s wonderful wedding at Melrose Market Studios in Seattle! This wedding was so fulfilling to document thanks to all of the personal touches incorporating Vince’s Latin American heritage, the couple’s Jewish ceremony under the chuppah, the groom’s love of dinosaurs and the bride’s classic wedding style accented by a colorful embroidered veil. You MUST see the veil! Or is it a cape? Either way I could have photographed this bride and her impeccable bridal ensemble for hours.

Peep the red heels to match the red flowers in her veil, the emerald ring as her “something borrowed”, the bold and beautiful color palette the wedding party is wearing (the guys’ ties match the gals’ dresses) and the couple sneaking away for a private moment at the local oyster bar after the ceremony. There was even a mariachi band that greeted guests and entertained during the dinner hour. This wedding was such a fun one!

I fell in love with photography almost 20 years ago in a darkroom class, and that love has never faded. What started as a darkroom class in college turned into photographing my first wedding solo in 2010,and I was hooked. The joy. The emotion. The vows. The details. The people.

I realized quickly that my fulfillment came from helping people see themselves in a beautiful, honest way. I move calmly. I guide confidently. I know how to capture all the angles and candid moments without you even noticing. My couples often say I have “photo superpowers” because of how much I capture while still keeping everything feeling easy and low-pressure.
