I am always extra excited when I get a chance to work with couples that have a unique vision who are also planning to have their wedding in the coolest of places. The first time I met with Morgan & John and they shared some of their plans with me I lit up inside and I was so happy to get their email that said "We want you!" shortly after.
Morgan has the most creative vision and for her wedding she chose the color purple but didn't just want to splash everything with purple. She chose to use purple in an ombre design, fading from light to dark in her cake & linens, and even with the flowers that adorned the reception.
You MUST check out this extra extra long farm table that was used for the guests to dine at. Spectacular! The table numbers were hand created by the wonderful groom and I just love what Columbia City Floral did to dress up the dinner table with pops of color everywhere. The ombre theme was perfectly on display with the linens on the table, receding from a more lavender purple all the way to a dark, rich, royal purple hue.
Morgan chose her design and color palette before Pantone released their "color of the year" at the end of 2017. Many photographers and creatives I know were disappointed to hear that the color "ultra-violet" had been chosen. But I heard this and instantly knew Morgan was clearly a trend-setter and was really ahead of the curve with her design choices.
It was such a great experience working with Mary from Invisible Hostess, The Westland Distillery, my favorite cake artist, Honey Crumb Cakes (check out the ombre on the cake, too!), Bamboo Beats & more. Check out the list of vendors below the photos!
Morgan & John's wedding is featured on The Knot!! (Insert happy dance here!). You can check out their feature, which is very well deserved HERE. Since an online feature can only share so many photos but I felt like there were so many more great images to share, I wanted to be sure to personally blog Morgan & John's wedding ASAP!
Thank you, Morgan & John for including me in such a spectacular wedding celebration. I will never forget this wonderful day!
