Snowy Leavenworth Winter Wedding on Palindrome Day

Drag me!

My year of 2020 weddings kicked off a little earlier than usual with Tiffany & Matthew’s sweet and intimate snowy wedding in Leavenworth, Washington. And it was on Palindrome Day! 02-02-2020. SOOOO cool! Leavenworth is one of my favorite towns – especially because I was married there myself – and its charm is unmatched. Tiffany & Matthew were engaged in Leavenworth and it’s long since been a favorite getaway spot for them, so getting married there made perfect sense. We were given access to breathtaking private property along the Wenatchee River for their portraits, the Front Street Park gazebo was a great place for the ceremony, surrounded by all the colorful lights, and the Icicle Village Resort provided a wonderful spot for the reception. After their ceremony we took some photos in the park with the lights – the tall tree covered in white lights with a colored strip is “their tree”, right next to where Matthew proposed. How adorable is that!? I’m so thankful for Tiffany & Matthew including me in their beautiful wedding day and wish them a lifetime of adventure together.

Thanks so much to Tiffany & Matthew for including me in your beautiful winter wedding! It was so memorable! I am always thrilled when I get the chance to do a little road trip to photograph weddings. ready to tell your story?

Hi, I’m alex! A seattle wedding photographer who’s been documenting your stories since 2009.

I fell in love with photography almost 20 years ago in a darkroom class, and that love has never faded. What started as a darkroom class in college turned into photographing my first wedding solo in 2010,and I was hooked. The joy. The emotion. The vows. The details. The people.

I realized quickly that my fulfillment came from helping people see themselves in a beautiful, honest way. I move calmly. I guide confidently. I know how to capture all the angles and candid moments without you even noticing. My couples often say I have “photo superpowers” because of how much I capture while still keeping everything feeling easy and low-pressure.

Some photographers find wedding days chaotic.

I find them electric.
