Colorful Summer Wedding at the University of Washington Center for Urban Horticulture

Drag me!

What an amazing day this wedding at the University of Washington Center for Urban Horticulture was!

Despite the fact it was 95 degrees and air conditioning was hard to come by, the spirit and excitement of the day wasn’t dampened one bit!

It was so great to have great coordination done by Seattle planners All In The Details, beautiful custom flowers by Smashing Petals and the best MC/DJ skills by 206 Events.

The sun and beautiful light allowed me to shoot film most of the day, which filled me with that much more love for this glorious wedding in Seattle.

There’s not much more to say because to me the images speak for themselves!  Be sure to scroll to the bottom to visit Love Inc. Magazine’s feature of Katharine & Ed’s wedding.

Katharine & Ed chose an all star roster of vendors for their wedding day.  It was so great to work with each of them.  If you’re planning, I highly recommend checking these guys out!

ready to tell your story?

Hi, I’m alex! A seattle wedding photographer who’s been documenting your stories since 2009.

I fell in love with photography almost 20 years ago in a darkroom class, and that love has never faded. What started as a darkroom class in college turned into photographing my first wedding solo in 2010,and I was hooked. The joy. The emotion. The vows. The details. The people.

I realized quickly that my fulfillment came from helping people see themselves in a beautiful, honest way. I move calmly. I guide confidently. I know how to capture all the angles and candid moments without you even noticing. My couples often say I have “photo superpowers” because of how much I capture while still keeping everything feeling easy and low-pressure.

Some photographers find wedding days chaotic.

I find them electric.

Alex was hands down our favorite vendor for our wedding! || Alex is literally the best. || Personally, I have worked with many photographers and Alex was one of the best! || Alex was hands down our favorite vendor for our wedding! || Alex is literally the best. || Personally, I have worked with many photographers and Alex was one of the best! ||
