Destination Wedding at the Cape Horn Lookout in Washington

If only I could relive weddings over and over again. Brenna & Tara’s romantic elopement with only close family and friends was incredible and I am so honored to have been there to witness it all. Everything about this wedding was right up my alley. Outdoor ceremony location (with a killer view), DIY decorating (such as all the florals being hand picked and then hand-assembled), bright colors, and a honest focus on the meaning of the day.

Brenna & Tara were married at a breathtaking overlook just one day after the Supreme Court’s ruling on same sex marriage in 2015. While Washington had already been recognizing same sex marriages for some time, it was incredible to know that just one day before, rights had been changed for millions of couples nationwide.

Brenna & Tara, thank you so much for including me in such an amazing day. I wish it could have gone on and on, and I hope for nothing but a lifetime of joy for both of you!

Hi, I’m alex! A seattle wedding photographer who’s been documenting your stories since 2009.

I fell in love with photography almost 20 years ago in a darkroom class, and that love has never faded. What started as a darkroom class in college turned into photographing my first wedding solo in 2010,and I was hooked. The joy. The emotion. The vows. The details. The people.

I realized quickly that my fulfillment came from helping people see themselves in a beautiful, honest way. I move calmly. I guide confidently. I know how to capture all the angles and candid moments without you even noticing. My couples often say I have “photo superpowers” because of how much I capture while still keeping everything feeling easy and low-pressure.
