Company Branding Shoot with Hiveboxx in Downtown Seattle

Drag me!

Goodness this was a fun one! I had the privilege of welcoming Hiveboxx’s entire Seattle-based team into the studio recently for company branding photos. Hiveboxx is a company with a unique service and wonderful mission, so working with them for their company headshots was a true treat.

Hiveboxx provides moving services using sustainable and reusable totes that they drop off at your location, you pack, they pick up and move to your new location! My family has personally hired Hiveboxx multiple times and has loved the experience. If you aren’t convinced, do a quick Google search for Hiveboxx and check out the literal hundreds of five-star reviews.

This small local business is BIPOC owned and embraces diversity. Their company mission to save the honey bee population sets aside a portion of their total sales to help support bee farmers and efforts to regrow the declining honey bee population. If you’re moving – either residential or business – please do yourself a favor and check out this wonderful team.

Now, onto the headshots! When I first got in touch with Hiveboxx’s founder, Wesley, we talked about how we wanted to create a team photo that was elevated beyond a stiff or overly posed lineup-style photo. We wanted something that injected some personality in an environment that was bright and light so that the Hiveboxx branding colors of yellow and black would pop. My studio in downtown Seattle was a perfect fit with plenty of space to create the team photos we wanted.

Branding photos are an important investment for all small businesses. These sessions are a perfect time for team photos with the entire company together, everyone gets their own individual headshots, and I also love to incorporate product or props that the company uses or speaks to the industry the company is in to create a cohesive set of photos. For Hiveboxx we changed out the headshot background a couple times so that they can choose which set of photos is best based on the application and the rest of the content the photos are included with. This variety also allows them to use headshots in marketing and website content purposes without having to use identical photos each time they’re needed.

Working with companies for branding sessions is a collaborative project that is always a blast for me because I get to brainstorm specific shots ahead of time, suggest products and props to incorporate to complete the look of the session, and it’s a great way to get to know local companies that do so much good in our community. I’d love to hear from you regarding the needs you have for your business so we can plan a branding session for you, too! You can inquire via the link below the photos.

ready to tell your story?

Hi, I’m alex! A seattle wedding photographer who’s been documenting your stories since 2009.

I fell in love with photography almost 20 years ago in a darkroom class, and that love has never faded. What started as a darkroom class in college turned into photographing my first wedding solo in 2010,and I was hooked. The joy. The emotion. The vows. The details. The people.

I realized quickly that my fulfillment came from helping people see themselves in a beautiful, honest way. I move calmly. I guide confidently. I know how to capture all the angles and candid moments without you even noticing. My couples often say I have “photo superpowers” because of how much I capture while still keeping everything feeling easy and low-pressure.

Some photographers find wedding days chaotic.

I find them electric.
