Sunset Anniversary Portraits at Wild Horse Wind Farm in Eastern Washington

Drag me!

This day was quite the adventure.  We set off for eastern Washington later than planned, and got to the wind farm after the visitors’ center had closed due to a shutdown of I-90.  We were the only humans around.  Just the local cattle shared some space with us.  When we did this session, incredible forest fires were raging less than 50 miles away, blackening the skies to the north east.  It was sobering, to say the least, and this session became much more intimate feeling knowing how alone, yet free, we were.

Nick & Emma are dear friends and this session was amazing.  It was truly an adventure to get there and back, and was a time that we could be reflective and creative together given the beautiful place we’d found.

ready to tell your story?

Hi, I’m alex! A seattle wedding photographer who’s been documenting your stories since 2009.

I fell in love with photography almost 20 years ago in a darkroom class, and that love has never faded. What started as a darkroom class in college turned into photographing my first wedding solo in 2010,and I was hooked. The joy. The emotion. The vows. The details. The people.

I realized quickly that my fulfillment came from helping people see themselves in a beautiful, honest way. I move calmly. I guide confidently. I know how to capture all the angles and candid moments without you even noticing. My couples often say I have “photo superpowers” because of how much I capture while still keeping everything feeling easy and low-pressure.

Some photographers find wedding days chaotic.

I find them electric.
